Movies That Inspire Your Travel?
Saw interesting survey results recently that report nearly 20 percent of us have been inspired to hit the road after seeing a destination on the big screen.
Survey respondents cited more than 60 international locales, but Greece topped the list, thanks to the films “Mamma Mia” and “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.” Rounding out the top five were, in descending order of popularity:
- New York City – 10 percent of women were inspired by “Sex in the City” among several other Big Apple-based flicks.
- New Zealand – 7 percent took off after seeing the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
- Thailand – 6 percent of ladies left home after seeing Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Beach.”
- Australia – the blockbuster “Australia” tempted 4 percent of women to travel down under.

The Bourne movies make me want to go ANYWHERE. I always say to my BF and/or cat, “I’ll give you 10 thousand dollars to drive me to Paris.”
